Georgie World introduces artists S.Britt and Johnny Yanok.
Are you tired of the same ol’ boring trucks and turtles? Well so was I, so I decided to commission two of the hottest children’s storybook illustrators to design some t-shirts for Georgie World.
The ‘Edgy and Adorable’ shirt was created by indie graphic designer S.Britt (www.sbritt.com) Sighting such visionaries as Ed Emberley and Richard Scarry as influences, Stephan has found a look all his own. He also designed our ‘Target Market’ and ‘Lousy Drag’ shirts.
Johnny Yanok (www.johnnyyanok.com) is a prolific artist creating for Target, Cartoon Network and art galleries across the United States. I especially like his 1960’s – 1970’s graphic details and you can definitely see that Pee Wee Herman and Mary Blair are some of his heroes. Johnny created the trio of vehicles: the Pinto, Torino, and Bronco as well as the monster and tiki series. Stay tuned for our collaboration for Christmas and Hanukkah.
Coming up at the end of May, Georgie World will be offering two new t-shirt designs by artist Big Toe ( www.tomlaurastudio.com ) These t-shirts will be sold to help promote our new charitable cause Coopers Cure ( www.cooperscure.org )
